Amphetamine is a substance that is used as both legally and illegally. when people take this medicine with doctors' order it is considered as a legal drug, when it is taken by people without doctors' orders as an overdose it is considered as an illegal drug. It treats a condition like obesity, ADHD, narcolepsy, etc. When it is taken for a long period it is considered an addiction for people. When people have taken with correct dosage this addiction issues can be solved. Lack of medical access, insurance, and government programs for people to use drugs and various treatment regimen and fear of treatment, negative opinion, and diverse medication, slow action made people addict with this medication. Drug users when they lack the social support they addicted to these drugs for pleasure, freedom, etc. Nation strategies for solving this drug addiction issues focus on punishment, necessary for criminal justice for people on mentality by unites nations member states. They provide scientific support for drug use disorder with evidence-based treatment and social support. Drug policy and evidence-based support on public health principles focus on social protection they avoid punishment and conviction. In 2016 United General assembly special sessions of drugs provide support scientifically for the drug disorder, they believe they can treat them with evidence-based support. This drug addiction is a global issue that affects many people worldwide. Countries like Mexico, UK, Columbia, Portugal, Italy get support from government and health care officials for drug addiction treatment programs that helps their citizens with rules for drug use. Instead of punishment, they focus on prohibition for drug use except for prescribed medicine in case of chronic and acute substance assisted treatment.
