The artery that passes the the foramen transvesarium of C6-C1 is the vertebral artery. When the practitioner tries to manipulate the cervical vertebrae there is a chanche of injury to the vertebral artery that is the 3 rd part of the vertebral artery which enters into the formen magnum as the foutfo part to form the circle of Willis to suplls brain. Thus any injury can be a high risk of transfer of the clot to the brain thereby stroke. Vertebral artery Is the branch of the subclavian artery.
