Answer #1

Answer:- There are still Theory X managers with the Hard Approach and Soft Approach out there. There will always be these managers out there in the workforce either making threats and micromanaging their employees or trying to be your best friend instead of your boss. With this day and age, there are more managers taking the Soft Approach when it comes to working. A lot of managers are afraid of getting into trouble because they told their employee to do their actual job. They would rather be permissive and hope the job gets done or they end up doing it themselves because they don’t want to confront the employee. People are getting lazier today and want to get paid for doing less work, this not only applies to the employees but also to the managers as well. Managers will hand off their work onto others so that they don’t have to do much but review the paperwork and then sometimes they delegate that too to a different employee. As long as there are people out there that are lazy but able to deceive their boss into thinking they are good managers there will always be Theory X managers.

Answer:- I do believe that ethical behavior will pay off in the long run, however, I don't believe it'll pay off as much as people expect it to. People want ethical behavior to be widespread and change the world, but the truth is that some people will never be ethical. Plus, what is ethical to one person is ethical to another. It's all in the way individuals interpret things. So although I think that consistently acting ethical and passing those beliefs down through the generations will pay off, I don't believe it will pay off as much as people want it to

Answer:- Ethics can be taught, but learning is a whole different story. In my opinion, it depends on who you're teaching to. If you're teaching it to a baby, or children, or even an adult who is willing to open their mind, and mold it around a very large idea and take it in, yes, ethics can be learned. However, if you're teaching it to others, I don't believe that it can be learned. When it comes down to it, you can teach it all you want, but ethical behavior comes through living it.

Answer:- Two years ago, when I was in the army, I was being posted to an intelligence unit at Paya Lebar Air Base after completing the basic military training phase. It is a unit which required high-security clearance before being able to proceed into the unit. This is because all information we are handling in the office is confidential and we have also been strictly warned, not to share any information or work we do and see from the office. Camera phones were strictly prohibited as well.

One day, one of my colleagues who was also a fellow serviceman, decided to bring in his camera phone to capture a certain set of data from the computer. I happen to walk past his desk at that point of time and he was aware as well. At that instance, he stood up and pulled me to the back and told me that he would treat me to lunch in exchange with not reporting him to the superiors. I rejected him and told him that it was wrong for him to share confidential data with the public. I was in a situation of reporting him to my superior or letting it go in fear of being hated by him. However, at the end of the day, I reported him to my superior and he was punished accordingly.

KINDLY RATE THE ANSWER AS THUMBS UP. THANK A LOT.
