Describe de Bono’s “Six Hats” method for creative problem-solving. Discuss the value of this approach if it were to be applied by a museum

BONO's SIX HATS METHOD : It's the method of solving problems individually or in teams with different perspectives used under different hats.

• WHITE HAT- It focuses on available data and looks at the information that is in hand, analyse past trends & see what we can learn from it.
• RED HAT- We look at problem using our emotions, intuitions, gut reaction & how othees would emotionally react. We try to understand the responses of people who do not fully know our reasoning.
• BLACK HAT - We look at decisions potentially negative outcomes. We look for the reasons whu it might not work; as ut highlights weak points in a plam. Helps in eliminating the weak points alter them & to prepare contingency plans to counter them.
• YELLOW HAT- Helps in thinking positively. It helps to see all the benefits of the decision & values in it when everything looks difficult.
• GREEN HAT- Represents creativity. We cam use a range of creativity tools to help in problem . We can develop creative solutions to a problem.
• BLUE HAT - Represents process control. It is used to manage the thinking process. It is a control mechanism that ensures the 6 hats guidelines are observed & followed.
