Laboratory Data

Urinalysis results revealed 4+ protein, 20–30 RBC, and 25–30 WBC/high-power field. Hyaline, erythrocyte, and granular casts were noted. Testing for antistreptolysin O was increased (500 units/mL). C3 levels were slightly decreased (53 mg/100 mL). Serum creatinine was increased (2.5 mg/100 mL). Throat culture was collected and sent to the laboratory.

      A streptococci and it's blood level more than 200 units/ml during blood test indicate positive test.

                     * It is non motile,catalase negative cocci and do not produce spores.
