Becoming a hospital human resource manager plays a vital role in the health care work place in ensuring the delivery of the health care services and facilitating optimal patient outcomes .

  • In any health care setting ,the HR department fills a variety of personnel health needs that both employers and employees encounter .
  • The role of this department is to manage all aspects of operations that are personnel related

Roles and tasks of HR department :

  • Role of the HR is to manage ,create ,implement and supervise policies ,regulations which are mandatory for every employee and also have knowledge of its appropriate functioning ,monitoring attendance and tracking leave forms is a major chunk of HR department .

  • Physician and nurse recruitment
  • Employee orientation
  • personnel management
  • Benefits and compensation management
  • Counselling.
  • Claims handling
  • Professional development programmes
  • State and federal regulations education.
  • Work place safety and sanitation
  • Labor mediation
  • Administration and employee meetings .
  • Staff morale and retention
  • Staff remuneration and bonus .

How does the HR helath care positively impact on employee ,employer,patient :

  • HR department mainly focus on three aspects ,those or increasing the development of organization ( hospital), job satisfaction of employee and employers and providing quality care to patient .
  • For the organization : HR department helps inincreasing the efficiency of its organization by means of increasing the financial status and enhancing the name of the organization towards the public .
  • HR department selects the efficient staff to work hard in the hospital ,so that people will develop trust on the organisation .
  • HR department will conduct the induction programmes to update the knowledge of staff as well as patients .
  • For the employees : HR department provide the adequate information to employees such as it gives orientation to staff .
  • It helps in increments of staffs and provides salary and bonus to the staff as per decision of directors of hospital .
  • HR help the staff members to get job satisfaction by providing of incentives .
  • For the patients : H R department provides adequate information to patient .

HCA : as of 2018 ,HCA operated 178 hospitals approximately 1800 sites of care ,including surgery centers ,physician clinics ,freestanding ERs ,urgent care centers etc .
