You are the new, and first, lab manager for StartUp Medical Center. It's a 250 bed hospital with a large outpatient clinic. For the purpose of this scenario, assume you will be doing waived and non-waived testing. The hospital expects you to have a full operation lab and to be open 24/7. What ideas do you have for getting your new lab up and running and in compliance with CLIA requirements? You will need to interview and hire staff, acquire equipment.
