Strategic recruitment refers to the thought out plan, which envisages the core business strategy of the organization, and recruitment is done strategically in line with the business objectives in order to ensure the execution of the organization’s business strategy. Human resources plays critical role in any organizations success, strategic recruitment, helps in identification, assessment and on boarding of such resources, which can help organization succeed in strategic objectives.

One of the prime example of strategic recruitment is the hiring of a digital transformation consultant for an organization, which is due to undergo transformation in the next financial cycle. This gives time to the hiring manager to find, assess and on board a consultant, which is line with the organization demands and fits well into the culture of the organization.
