Answer: Down syndrome is congenital disorder in new born. Normally there are total 46 chromosome a baby have but in down syndrome there are 47 chromosomes.

People or child having down syndrome takes time for the development, so there are some disabilities such as understanding properly, speaking clearly etc.

There are many programs which offer the care of these people such as hearing and visual programs etc. The nurse has to takecare of the patients as they have health issues also. The nurse has to be very calm and attentive with them. They can get the speech therapy so as to speak clearly. Nurse should not pressurized them about the things, they have their wills so they need to be convinced properly.

They have poor development of muscle tone so there is problem with the digestive system. They need to eat proper food that may digest fast. Nurse should include a little exercise in their routine so as to make them active.
