Organic compound X, with molecular formula C11H14O3, undergoes complete oxidation with
solution of potassium permanganate acidified with sulfuric acid and gives only three (3)
organic products A, B and C. For each of the products A, B and C the following are given
below:

Union A

With an alkaline solution of iodine, it gives a yellow precipitate.

Compound B
It is volatile and is therefore widely used as a solvent in dyes.
Reduction of compound B, under the appropriate conditions, forms the compound B1, which is the simplest of its homologous series and presents visual activity.

Compound C.
0.5 mol of Compound C requires 0.75 mol of Na2 CO3 for complete reaction.
Displays two (2) peaks in the low-resolution 1H-NMR spectrum.
a) Write, using all the data and recording the course
your work:
(i) the structural formulas A, B, B1 and C
(ii) the structural formula of organic compound X.
