Learning medical terminology can be challenging, particularly because it is not present in the way that we typically learn the meaning of words. Using word parts with medical indications can sometimes be confusing. Some will even say that learning medical terminology is like learning a new "language." Would you agree or disagree? How so?

Answer #1

Learning medical terminology for a biology student is not that tough. Every word has a meaning and usually the associated words , procedures or treatments will be having connection with the root word. Learning a new word may be difficult, but connecting to terminologies of the related words are really easy. It may seem a foreign language to non biology students, but it is an interesting area for biology /life science students.

Eg: The word bronch/o refers to bronchus.

Bronchitis can be easily correlated by the student as inflammation of bronchus. 'Itis' refers to inflammation.
