ROLES OF LPN/LVN IN TEXAS :

The main role of LPN/LVN is to assist registered nurse in providing care to the patient, they mainly help in maintaining patient's personal hygiene, checking their vital signs, checking their blood sugar levels, documenting patient's medical history, assisting to ambulate patient. the main difference between LPN and LVN is LPN can administer medications and also iv therapy. The roles of LPN and LVN differs according to employer some employers allow them to administer medications while some does not. Therefore in general LPN and LVN can only assist in providing basic patient care and assisting the registered nurse.
