Laws and policies hold a vital part of any profession. These are the set of parameters or guidelines which determines the actions to be taken to get the desired healthcare outcome. One of the major law in the healthcare profession is medical malpractice. If a healthcare provider is responsible for the injury or death to a patient by deviating from the set of guidelines or by negligence, then it will come under medical malpractice.

The law originated in the 1800s in the USA but come into practice after 1950 after the malpractices in the medical field became common. The law acts as a saviour for the patient as it demands high standard and precise treatments. This law changed the whole formats in the healthcare field today. It covers almost every errors from healthcare providers including errors in the choice of treatments, mistakes in the execution of the meditation etc. The law is widely appreciated and supported by the judiciary and the public. There were many issues while passing the medical malpractice law. These issues mainly occurred on account of the possible causes that can lead to medical malpractice.
