Answer #1

In the 1960s the American society saw the civil right movement, although the slavery was abolished, the discrimination and racism were very well present in the society, it was more prominent in the southern region, Martin Luther King Jr. helped to spearhead the movement by his leadership and speeches. Martin Luther King Jr was pro nonviolence

He wrote this letter in response to eight clergymen Christian Jews and protestant who was of the opinion that an outsider Negro had no right to take part in the movement. on April 16, 1963, from the Birmingham jail, he answered to that eight clergyman, they had called him an outsider and Negro for that h clarified that he is president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, an organization operating in every southern state, with headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and that he had gone invitation to help fellow men who are fighting for equal rights.

The three things we learned from the letter is that the clergyman should not have interfered and a citizen of US staying anywhere in the country is a Citizen of the US and raising voice against injustice is not a wrong and very fellow man should help for the right cause. The struggle for civil rights for black had a long history, with the constant struggle they succeeded and Civil Rights Act was signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson that was initiated by John F Kennedy into law known as the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and made into a law on August 6, 1965, that shows the right struggle never fails.

2. The protest was nonviolent and in Birmingham the African American people are the target of justice, segregation their houses are burned, their churches are burnt and there is no justice for them and for centuries the Southern part is depriving them of their right, there are racial slogan in the public places, black are not supposed to occupy reserved white seat, and all types of injustice is inhuman, and black community had no choice but to protest, and the clergyman is well aware of the total facts.

3. The third fact is that the African American had no right to vote in the Southern region, they have to give the test to clear to become eligible to vote, and these people, while protesting for their right the law is wrongfully used on them, he wrote in the letter that there are many black people who blame white people for their pathetic conditions and they can do to any extent to get their rights, and categorically blamed that clergymen are acting like extremist and acting against the right of people, that shows that they are also prejudiced against black people, but he praised those white people who are with them and fighting for justice, that shows still right men are present.

The fallacy is a mistaken belief, the is a short story by Max Schulman, about three friends one of them he mentioned as an intelligent man, his competitor is Mr.Petey and a beautiful lady called Polly, Polly and Petey are friends, to get rid of Petey and be closer to Polly the intelligent men had an idea, he offered Petey that he will give him a raccoon coat if he leaves Polly for him, Petey was in need of the coat, so he agreed to the idea and took the coat and left Polly.

The intelligent student was under the impression that he can achieve everything because of his intelligence, he taught Polly also, and when the time came to decide between him and Petey, Polly chose Petey, the reason given by her was that Petey has the  raccoon coat which every Big man has on the campus, the intelligent men who wanted to be a lawyer got defeated by his intelligence as he wanted to use Polly not emotionally, but as an object of Success, he failed in that and whatever ideas he had to defeat Petey, he got defeated. He lost Polly and the coat.
