12th Answer:

1).

PGP stands for Pretty Good Privacy.

Pretty Good Privacy uses Web of Trust Model, which is a term used in cryptography to describe the decentralized security model in which participants authenticate the identities of other users. A web of trust is essentially a bunch of people vouching for the identities of their fellow users, which is a foundational feature of social networking websites such as LinkedIn, Facebook and more. Where also PGP uses fast encryption algorithm to encrypt; where the encrypted message and the short key are sent to the receiver private key to decrypt the message.

2).

PKI(Public Key infrastructures) are necessary to help ascertain the identity of different people, devices, and services. PKIs go way beyond the user's ID's and passwords, employing cryptographic technologies such as digital signatures and digital certificates to create unique credentials that can be validated beyond reasonable doubt and on a mass scale. Also, Certificate authority(CA) is a critical component of PKI which handle the lifecycle of all digital certificates as well within a Public key infrastructure(PKI).
