paO2: 77.8

HCO3: 20.9

Base: -3.6

O2: 94%

The patient is on 55% of fio2 but still, his saturation is 94% and partial pressure of oxygen is 77 mm per Hg.

pH is on normal range I.e 7.37

HCO3 is on slightly acidic range I.e 20.9

pCO2 is on borderline

Here, the base is deficit (-3.6)

According to bicarbonate value (20.9) and Base (- 3.9), It looks like a metabolic acidosis but the pH is in the normal range.

So, it is a metabolic acidosis compensatory by respiratory alkalosis
