In a 4-page report to the board of directors.

  1. Assess operations requirements and resources for Pediatric Hospital. Describe what is working and what is not working.
  2. Conduct a quantitative and qualitative benchmark literature review and scan of operations best practices (from the health care industry or outside the health care industry) and provide and evaluate an example of an initiative that a high-reliability health care organization has implemented, and indicate how Pediatric Hospital can implement that initiative.
  3. Evaluate Pediatric Hospital’s readiness for the transition of health care systems from a volume- to value-based delivery system. Using data provided in this case, provide relevant and practical recommendations to improve its readiness and how it might affect the implementation of the initiative.
  4. Analyze the operational implications of 2–3 current health care reforms and mandates that might affect the implementation of the initiative.
  5. Consider current and future trends and forces in operations management excellence and assess how these can help this Pediatric Hospital and other similar health care organizations to become a sustainable model for high-reliability organization.

-Children are not just small adults. They do not always say what is bothering them. They cannot always answer medical

questions or be patient and helpful while in the hospital. A pediatric hospital can work with the pediatrician and other

specialists to care for the child in a way that is comfortable and reassuring for the parent and the child.

*If a child has got an illness or injury she has to get adequate care from a pediatric hospital with adequate staffing and

equipment in each section.

Pediatricians, the primary person or the caregiver who is working in a pediatric hospital

They care for children in many hospital areas, including the pediatric ward, labor and delivery, the newborn nursery, the

emergency department, the neonatal intensive care unit, and the pediatric intensive care unit.

Pediatric hospitals work with your regular pediatrician and other physicians and providers involved in the child’s care. If there

is a significant change in the child’s condition, a pediatric hospitalist will update it to the concern pediatrician. When the child

leaves the hospital, a pediatric hospital will offer a pediatrician, an overview of your child’s hospital stay and detailed

instructions for any necessary further care.

the rapid growth of the organization. This can be achieved by offering safe and quality care to the patients or other customers

with available resources. and that is mainly focused on patient-centered care.

partners in planning, developing and monitoring care to make sure it meets their needs.

insurance companies.

-Improve the quality of health care

-Give more care to citizens

-Decrease the cost of health care
