Some of the ways to address the issues surrounding CPOE are

  • To improve and encourage communication between the healthcare professionals because the introduction of CPOE has affected this and certainly leading to misunderstanding, miscommunication, lack of humanly contact in work place
  • There are chances of error due to its usage as a novice so adequate and regular training to be provided
  • The chance of technology dependence is high which can lead to loss of the basic skills of the professionals so encouraging them to use this as an additional means
  • The need for the system to enter data can be more so adequate supply of the system to be provided to the staffs.

ii.The statistical data in regards to the issues surrounding the CPOE are

  • 23% difficulty in adopting to process change
  • 13% challenges in initiating and conducting training
  • 10% in the efficacy of the system itself in regards to its accuracy
