* The severity of gingivitis increases with changes in hormone levels in

   each trimester.

* Proper oral hygiene and antibiotics needed for treatment of severe form

of gingivitis.

* If it left untreated which leads to periodontitis (Gum infection result in destruction of

bones that support the teeth).
