The amount still owing is to be reported under Option #3 Advertising Outstanding expense, which must be a 'current liability' account.

Under circumstances when there is no separate account for recording the amount still owing, the 'accounts payable' can also be used. However, Accounts Payable is used to credit amount owing to suppliers.

Hence, First alternative is Option #3, second alternative is Option #1.

Option #2 can never be the answer because Accounts Receivables = amount to be received by the company.
