Decisions are very important part of our lives because they helps us to identify problems and solve them with appropriate alternative. in our decision we go through stages of decision making which can be short like routine decision making and long like extensive decision making.

In this discussion, i would tell about my decision making process in which i have purchase a Car. the purchase of car comes from my problem of going to my classes and part time work after that. this is my stage of identification of need in which if could have my own vehicle then i would not have to wait for other transport.i also need a car which is fuel efficient at cheap or affordable prices.

in the second stage, i started to gather information from my family, friends, relatives who owns a car. i also had a friend who work in car dealership showroom so i get suggestions from them. i also go through online sites related to car purchase. this process was so long like 10- 12 days.

in the third stage, i try to see alternatives of car brands in which i come across, brands like Maruti suzuki, Ford, Toyota and Nissan which are brand for high quality yet affordable cars.

The evaluation criteria for me was price, post purchase service, insurance, fuel efficiency.

In last i decided to purchase Ford car because it sets on my all criteria i also get free services for 2 years and free gifts like stero system which increase my decision.after use of car i was fully satisfied because i can travel more with less fuel and also listen to music and enjoy AC.this was my post purchase evaluation.

I think i would segment myself based on demographic criteria in which my segmenting factor would be my occupation and salary range because i have budgeted constraint and average salary so i decided to purchase that low budget car for myself.
