A year is 365.25 days. One Revolution around the Sun. Moon Phases take 29.5 days and does NOT divide into 365.25 evenly, so it is not easy to include in a calendar. I wouldn't include the Moon in my calendar. Also - a Leap Year is needed. Why can it not be eliminated?

After every four year there is a lead of 4 X 0.25 day which is equivalent to 1 day hence an extra day is added in order to compensate the lead and a calendar is made on the basis of solar day hence moon phase is not important in this calendar
