Answer #1

From the description, we can say that the Call to the Platoon deputy Chief should take first, followed by the meeting with Platoon deputy chief and then meeting with District chief

As, we are on 3rd, the 2nd Platoon will be present on 4th, 7th, 10th, 13th, 16th and 19th. As we are on holiday on 4th, the first activity i.e Call to Platoon Deputy Chief can be made on 7th.

16. The earliest date to make call to Platoon deputy Chief = B) 7th March.

After making the call to deputy chief, we shall be on 7th, the 2nd Platoon will be present on 10th, 13th, 16th and 19th. As there is no restriction on 10th, we shall do the second activity i.e Meet Platoon deputy Chief on 10th.

After making the meeting the deputy chief, we shall be on 10th, the 2nd Platoon will be present on 13th, 16th and 19th. Now, as the call to deputy chief was made on 7th, the mandate of having a week between the call to deputy chief and meeting district chief is not met on 13th. Considering our next option i.e 16th, we find that 16th is weekend and we are not available on that day. Therefore, we shall now conduct our third activity i.e Meet the district Chief on 19th.

17. The Earliest date to meet the District chief = D) 19th March
