Clinical features include signs and symptoms of a disease. Along with observations (symptoms) clinical features include treatment method also.
The clinical features of neurocognitive disorders are:
• Changes in behaviour, mood and personality are observed. Initially, these are considered normal; but if such mood changes are quite often, it means that the person is suffering from a neurocognitive disorder.
• People suffering from such disorders react to the news of having the disorder with a lot of anxiety.
• Neural pathways of brain which connect different regions of brain lose the power of regeneration. As a result, communication between brain parts is lost.
• Brain tissue destruction is observed. It is important to note that this destruction is always permanent in a neurocognitive disorder.
• Brain functioning is seriously hampered.
• The degree of mental impairment is directly proportional to the degree of brain tissue damage.
• For the treatment part, rehabilitation of such patients is possible, but results are obtained to a lesser degree.
