Distinguish between radical and methodological behaviorism.
Watson and Skinner hypothesized the concept of radical behaviorism. In this, they identified that radical behaviorism could be distinctly explained in the terms of the probable events that are considered as external connecting link to the organism.
According to Watson, environmental factors elicit the both learned or unlearned responses. According to Skinner, the environment has the capacity to choose behavior by the refinement of the contingencies of the viewable tasks of reinforcement. They both have different viewpoint about the radical behaviorism that tells the probable explanations towards individual’s personality goals and traits.
In contrast to radical behaviorism, Hull postulated the concept of methodological behaviorism. In this, he suggested a wealth of events that were considered to play an intermediate role between the behavior and experience like ideas of agreement.
