Which philosophies would tend to support the position of strong AI? Weak AI? Which would deny the usefulness of either type of AI?
Strong AI (artificial intelligence) trusts that persons are machines. Maximum of the English and French “Newtonian of the Mind’ grabbed Newton’s notion of the universe as a machine and used this to persons. Those who have faith that persons are nobody but the composite machines also have the certainty that a machine can be molded which duplicate every single human function.
Weak AI have confidence in humans are humans and are not materialistic but they are physical arrangements. Materialistic stuffs do not have thoughts and a mind and they are also not sensible. They accept as true that machines could be completed which have human conduct but one thing that they dearth is the person mind.
Also there are certain philosophers that did not have faith in the practicality of either type of AI. They are the rationalistic philosophers or psychologists who hypothesize a free will. Also, they have confidence in that there are so many significant things that are exclusive to the persons such as imagination, self-actualization and hence the notion of humans as machine is absurd. It may be hazardous too as humans are deliberated as machines then they are also treated as machines.
