Mac OS X Leopard and Snow Leopard come with many applications. In this activity you review the applications included with these operating systems.

To view the applications:

1. Click the Finder from the Dock to be sure Finder is open.

2. Click Go in the menu bar.

3. Click Applications.

4. Use the scroll bar to review the available applications. Record seven applications.

5. Double-click Dictionary. Dictionary is an application that enables you to quickly lookup the meaning of a word or to determine the spelling of a word.

6. Enter the word folder in the Spotlight box.

7. Double-click folder in the list of entries to view its definition as shown in Figure 2-36.

8. Close the Dictionary window.

9. Close the Applications window.
