A water gun that was popular before Super-soakers were invented was the water bazooka (see Figure 3.29). This consisted of a large piston-cylinder device that pressed water through a small nozzle. If the nozzle was 2 mm in diameter and the cylinder was 5 cm in diameter, what is the force necessary to push on the piston to get a spray with velocity 10 m/s out the nozzle?
