Wheels are press-fitted on the axle. Calculate and show reactions at the rails. Now separate the system at the bearings and show all forces acting at the points of separation for each portion. Consider the forces from bearings and wheels to be concentrated at their respective centers. Draw and dimension the bending moment diagram for the axle. Based on the loading conditions of the left bearing, find the rating life at 4 hours per day of a 313 bearing at a speed of 300 rpm. Assume the bearing is subjected to moderate shock.
