The inhibition zone would still be tear-shaped but would be smaller and the point of intersection would be closer to the end of the strip where the concentration of the drug is highest. If the drug concentration were further decreased, the zone of inhibition would continue to become smaller. At some point if the highest concentration on the strip were equal to the MIC, then no inhibition would be observed.
