Why is it not advisable to pursue too many strategies at once?
Organisational resources are spread too thin when more than one
strategy are pursued at the same time. No organisation can pursue
all the strategies that may benefit the organisation. Too many
strategies cannot be financed, marketed and financed effectively at
the same time. Executing too may strategies at once could backfire,
as they may not be compatible with each other. Its like the saying
"too many cooks spoil the soup" it's not advisable to have too many
strategies.
Strategy management is like going on a management journey. To
ensure a smooth journey, you also need a good and proper highway to
ride on and eventually reach your destination.
If one has too many strategy management to follow or many
management journey's routes to ride on, one is confused as some of
those routes may have obstacles, like potholes and sharp coners
which may make it difficult for you to reach your destination
safely or even successfully. Therefore it is not advisable to
pursue too many strategies at once
