First of all HIV positive status should be kept secret because it may lead to illegal discriminations. If phlebotomist Cindy develops AIDS then it will affect herself as well as clients.

1. AIDS is an immunodeficiency disorder so, it can dangerous for Cindy as a phlebotomist because in her job she will come in contact with many infectious patients. It increases the risk of developing life-threatening infections for Cindy.

2. As a phlebotomist, Cindy has to handle sharp instruments like Needles. It also increases the risk to clients because they can get the infection from Cindy.
