BASIC DRUG CALCULATION

( DESIRED DOSE DIVIDED BY STOCK DOSE) X VOLUME/ AMOUNT OF DILUENT

Order = 8mcg/minute

On hand = 100 mg in a 250ml solution

So it becomes

( 8mcg divided by 100mg) x 250ml = 20 ml/hour
