Some of the nursing priorities in facilitating physical and psychosocial safety for the newbonew born should be first initiated are taught to the parents are as following

• General housing safety because the new born first physical development is with their fingers and mouth.Anything coming in contact with the baby can be harmful if it is toxic from fabric ,clothes to plants in the home.
• In healthcare sector the nurse should enhance safety of the newborn from falls,proper positioning, avoid material resulting in choking
• The baby's mental development cannot be assessed easily the establishment of psychosocial safety mainly depends on trust vs mistrust between the faces they come across.
• Developing mother bond is easier as it has felt the mother's heartbeat for 9 months
• Emotional regulation, stress management for parents.
• The newborn behaviour of cognitive development of autonomy vs shame and doubt has to be informed to the parents.
