Professor says the answer to the following problem is 3.3 L/min but I can't figure out how he got that using only the information in the problem.

What is the expected minute volume of a 55 kg female who has normal dead space and CO2 production?

Please calculate using this formula and show work:

Minute volume=(Tidal Volume – Dead Space) x Respiratory Rate

Weight of the patient is 55kg

She has normal dead space and CO2 production

Calculate the expected minute volume

Formula :-

Minute volume = ( Tidal volume - dead space ) × respiratory rate

= ( (TD - weight ×6 ) - 150 ( normal dead space ) ) × 16-20bpm

= 55×6 - 150 × 20

= 180× 20

= 3600ml

= 3.6 L
