I am a part of Economics Society of my university. The structure of that organisation is basically Line Organisation Structure.
This type of organisation has one president at the top which is basically the head of this executive body. The president of the society has to be answered by every member of the society. Now the members are divided in different function: Finance Council, Cultural Concil, Logistics Council etc. Each of these councils have different heads and these heads come under the president. The council also contains other members which are all answerable to the Heads of the Councils and by transitivity also come under the President. This structure is highly hierarchical and not flat in nature. Everyone is finally answerable to the president.
