Answer: A cohort study is a form of study that sample of the group of people who share a particular characteristic, those who experienced a same issue in a selected period, such as birth or graduation, performing a cross-section at intervals through time. The disadvantages of cohort study include as it involves the differential loss to follow up which can introduce bias. The cohort study is not good for rare diseases. In this one has to follow large numbers of subjects for a long time which results in to time consuming. They can be very expensive. If one uses records that were not designed for the study, the available data may be of poor quality.
