What is the difference between a nested case control and a case-cohort study?
nested case-control - it is defined as a variation of a case-control study in which cases and controls are are drawn from the population (nested within a cohort). among the cases and the selected controls lies the exposure of interest.
case-cohort study - in this study, the controls are randomly chosen from all the cohort participants irrespective of the disease of interest.
