1. A range of personal, social, economic, and environmental factors contribute to individual and population health.

For example, people with quality education, stable employment, safe homes and neighbourhoods, and access to preventive services tend to be healthier throughout their lives.

Conversely, poor health outcomes are often made worse by the interaction between individuals and their social and physical environment.

Social determinants are in part responsible for the unequal and avoidable differences in health status within and between communities.

We can define the social determinants of health as the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work, play and age. Social, economic, political resources, and structures the influence of health. Is shaped by the distribution of money, power, and resources at global, national, and local levels.

Nowadays health and social policies are interwoven because social policies are the root causes of many social inequalities and thus health disparities. Social policy needs to address everyone.

When we are choosing the minority groups of Americans such as African Americans, Latinos, Hispanic Americans there we can see the reflection of disparities.

The conceptual models for social determinants of health(SDOH) are very useful for formulating research, looking out concepts and methods. Differences in health status, we assessed these differences by examining differences in health status by population group.
The disproportionate numbers racial/ethnic minority citizens in the U.S. that have inadequate access to health care.Since there is a difference in rates of access to health care amongst segments of the population. it is unjust/unfair that certain populations lack health care.
In Public Health, we are working to achieve health equity = equal opportunity to achieve good health or quality healthcare/treatment.

2.

*Discrimination, stigma, or unfair treatment in the workplace can have a profound impact on health; discrimination can increase blood pressure, heart rate, and stress, as well as undermine self-esteem and self-efficacy.

*Family and community rejection, including bullying, of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth can have serious and long-term health impacts including depression, use of illegal drugs, and suicidal behaviour.

*Places where people live and eat affect their diet. More than 23 million people, including 6.5 million children, live in "food deserts"—neighbourhoods that lack access to stores where affordable, healthy food is readily available (such as full-service supermarkets and grocery stores).

Race and ethnicity, gender, sexual identity, age, disability, socioeconomic status, and geographic location all contribute to an individual's ability to achieve good health. It is important to recognize the impact that social determinants have on health outcomes of specific populations.

Here we set those articles into broad context. The literature generally supported taxes on sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs): SSB taxes reduced purchase and consumption of those items across socioeconomic strata. In addition, some researchers suggest that SSB taxes as part of a more comprehensive approach may amplify the positive effects on obesity reduction and other health-related morbidities (Cobiac, Tam, Veerman, and Blakely, 2017). For example, an SSB tax combined with sugar, salt, alcohol, and tobacco taxes combined with subsidies for purchasing...

This was further complemented through reference harvesting, citation tracking, abstracts in conference programs, and author search, using Research Gate and Mendeley (see PRISMA Flowchart in Supplementary Figure S1 Checklist and list of studies reviewed in Table S1). We then removed duplicate and unrelated results. Finally,...
