Power of Attorney or Durable power of attorney is a written statement of a person on who should be or given authority to take decision on behalf of them, when they are unsound or in a condition where they cannot talk in regards to their health. Here this appointed person is called as an agent.This person can be from family or from non family member.It serves the signer.The main purpose of it is take healthcare decisions on behalf of them.The nurse has the responsibility to follow it and make sure prope documentation if it us maintained in the file to encounter any legal issues in the future.

The Nurse Practitioner are one who has an equal authority to diagnose, prescribe and treat a patient after proper approval depending upon the state government, federal policies.They are supposed to get training and experience being under a provider for a period of time and get certified for prescribing certain medications. They are equally responsible in the progress or detoriation of a patient upon their medical treatment and hence subjected for legal concerns if it is a malpractice.

On the grounds of high income countries US stands at the 5th place whereas when it comes to healthcare it is ath the 37th place due to it's high cost, low quality and accessibility.
