  • rental income
  • state tax refund

Cash out:

  • restaurant meal expense
  • clothing purchases
  • quarterly insurance
  • monthly rent payment

Neither applies: company paid business meals.

If cash out is more than cash in, there is a cash deficit

Fixed:

  • monthly rent payments
  • quarterly insurance

Variable:

  • clothing purchases
  • restaurant meal expense

Fixed expenses are usually contractual
