Question

ReviewI Constants Part A The ultrasonic transducer used in a medical ultrasound imaging device is a very thin disk (m-0.10 g) driven back and forth in SHM at 1.0 MHz by an electromagnetic col. The maximum restoring force that can be applied to the disk without breaking it is 47,000 N. What is the maximum oscillation amplitude that wont rupture the disk? Express your answer to two significant figures and include the appropriate units. A.1 Value Units Submit ▼ Part B What is the disks maximum speed at this amplitude? Express your answer to two significant figures and include the appropriate units Value Vmax = Units Submit Request Answer

Answer #1

Approach used:- here we use the formula for simple harmonic motion to find spring constant. We use the fact that maximum restoring force will be at maximum displacement, so F = kx = kA, 10% H2 manam um re,hring fru is at man
