What may have led to impurities in a sample when preforming recrystalization??
What are soluble impurities. (b) Do soluble impurities in solids effect the melting point of the sample? if so, what are the effects?(c) What are insoluble impurities? (d) Do insoluble impurities in solids effect the melting point of the sample? if so , what are the effects?
a student is preforming a titratio in lab. a sample of phosphoric acid with a volume of 12.05 mL requires 33.21 mL of 0.173 M potassium hydroxide to reach the equivalence point. H3PO4 + 3 KOH = K3PO4 +3 H2O A.) what is the concentration of the phosphoric acid?
in
a synthesis of acetanilide experiment, i performed
recrystalization. i used my recovered product to test for
impurities. My TLC and melting point analysis seems as if there are
no impurities however my nmr shows an impurity maybe consistent
with hydrolysis of acetanilide. (50mg was mixed with 400
microliters of deuterated chloroform for NMR) the impurity that im
talking about can be seen below with label “figure this out”
is the peak because hydrolysis?
When could have hydrolysis happened and...
1. What is oxone?
2. When preforming a chemical test to check that the oxidant was
fully quenched, we used potassium iodide and two drops of acetic
acid mix with the aqueous layer of an oxidation reaction solution
form (-) borneal to boreone. What chemical was resonsible for the
dark brown color that is indicative of a positive test?
3. We have called this oxidation green. What does the term mean,
and in which way can we say that the...
We have measured the lifetime (in days) of 55 expensive lamps, which led to a sample mean and a standard deviation of 460 and 23, respectively. We have also measured the lifetime of 55 cheap lamps, which led to a sample mean and a standard deviation of 400 and 15, respectively. Carry out a test of hypotheses at significance level of 0.01 to decide whether the true mean of of the lifetime of the cheap lamps is less than 50...
looking at TLC attached f(filtrate), p(purified crystals)
a(starting aniline ) s(salicylaldehyde) , can somebody answer these
questions for me ?? and calculate RF
Was your recrystallized sample pure by TLC? What
were the potential impurities and how did you confirm their
identities? What was the most polar spot on the
TLC? Does this data make sense based on the structure of
the compound responsible for that spot?

While preforming a dermal puncture on a finger you have difficulty
forming a good drop of blood instead the blood seems to be running
along the fingerprint and going everywhere except in the tube what
caused this and how can you fix it.

5) p points) Temperature regulation is critical while preforming PCR. What could resuit IT the PCR reaction is not cooled to 42°C -65°C before the extension step? Why would this occur (2 points) If you start with one copy of a single gene of interest and perform PCR on that sequence, how many copies of the gene would you have after 10 cycles? Explain your reasoning.
Design a circuit that safely turns an LED on when the lights in the room turn OFF. The LED should have a nearly constant output(current) while illuminated. Must use a single LED, a single 741 op amp and a light dependent resistor. Resistor value can be vary.
