So, the anode reaction is:

b)

Reduction takes place on Cathode.

The one with greater Eo value will be reduced.

So, the Cathode reaction is:

F2(g) + 2 e- —> 2F-(aq)

C)

Overall reaction is:

Hg(l) + F2(g) —> Hg2+(aq) + 2F-(aq)

d)

Eo cell = Eo cathode - Eo anode

= 2.870 V - 0.855 V

= 2.015 V
