Growth and development refers right from the birth of a living being till end of a life.It can be classified into four stages.Growth refers to a quantifiable change in size and development refers to transformation of structure.

There are many factors which can affect the growth and development like nutrition, environment, disease condition

It starts right from conceiving of a baby by a women like antenatal care,perinatal care and postnatal care.It includes assessment of pregnant women for regular health check up of weight gain,vaccination ( Tetanus toxoid), ultrasound to detect and feral abnormality and to determine the growth.Perinatal care includes assessment for any low birth weight baby.Postnatal care is wide covering regular monomonitoring of bsby's height weight, head and chest circumference, vaccinations, devrlopdevelopment of motor movement and also to check mother's cobcondition of returning back to non pregnancy state.

After this it denotes the life of Adolescence, in which growth and development occurs mentally where children tend to explore everything and needs guidance and care.The development changes like bodily changes and hormonal changes.

This depicts the relationship existing between economic and development. It is an one side growth which doesn't bother about qualitative outcome.
