Weight: 220lb

Formula- lb/2.2= kg

=220/2.2

= 100kg

2. Calculate flow in MCG/min

Rate: 4MCG/kg/min

=4×100/min

=400mcg/minute or

4mg/ minutes

3. calculate ml/hour

Available:

450Mg:500ml

0.9mg: 1ml

0.9×4.5mg: 1×4.5ml

4mg= 4.5ml

Answer

4.5ml/minutes

4. Calculate flow rate:

1min: 4mg

1hour: 240mg

2hour: 480mg

Total amount of fluid×drop factor/ hour×minutes

500×60/2×60

250drops /minute or 250gtg/min
