histamine reaction is an allergic reaction ,mast cells release histamine which triggers the allergic symptoms . So if a person eats fish that has a high level of histamine ,the response may resemble as allergic reaction to that food.this causes an overgrowth of the bacteria which converts the histidine to high level of histamine.

-pathophysiology :

due to the etiological factors ( food, any medication,weather changes , history of allergy etc ) .the mast cells sensitised by the IgE antibodies attached to their surface membranes,degranulates exposively when exposed to the appropriate antigen ,degranulation leads to the Simultaneous release of the histamine ,this can leads to allergic reaction such as urticaria,fever.

treatment :

• Taking of antihistamines such as tab .chloro phenaramine malleate Etc.
• taking of DAO enzyme supplements .
• switching to prescribed medication.
• avoiding medicines associated with histamine intolerance .such as most of anti - inflammatory and pain killers .
• taking corticosteroids such as inj .dexamethasone.
• avoiding of allergic foods and beverages.
• avoiding to going for cold weather especially who are having allergic to winter season .

i have seen the patient with histamine reaction when i was worked in hospital , what happend is ,the patient admitted with the diarrhea ,doctor priscribed a pencilline injection , after administration of injection suddenly he has a body rashes ,raised temperature ,itching . After some time the rashes are dissapeared because of inj. Decadron and inj.chlorophenaramine malleate.

my understanding about histamine :

histamine is a chemical messenger that mediate a wide range of cellular responses ,including allergic ,inflammatory reaction,gastric acid secretion and neurotransmission in parts of the brain .

- high amounts found in lungs ,skin ,gastro intestinal tract.

- and found at high concentration in mast cells or basophyls.

- histamines are protective ones which obstruct the pathogeN to reduce the further damage to the body .

- some times vert fatal .
