Weight of the measuring stick = W

Mass of the ball = m = 2 kg

The center of gravity of the measuring stick will lie at the center of the stick.

Distance of the center of gravity from the support = D1 = 2.5 m

Distance of the ball from the support = D2 = 1 m

Taking moment balance about the support,

WD1 = mgD2

W(2.5) = (2)(9.81)(1)

W = 7.848 N

Weight of the measuring stick = 7.848 N
