Answer: Pyelonephritis is an infection which is caused by gram negative bacteria. This causes inflammation in the kidney. In the case of cystitis the E. Coli bacteria causes infection in the urinary tract. Both the disease is caused by gram negative bacteria which occurs in the urinary tract. This infection if not treated may lead to kidney infection which damaged the kidney.
