When a patient is effected by a certain diseases then this will affect both the lives of patients and their families.Because if a patient undergo a complex treatment which took a time of 1 year then in this time both the patients and their families daily life will be disrupted.It shows so may effects on a person life whether it is social,emotional,physical,financial etc.It effects all aspects of a person's life along with their family.

Nurses have a special relationship between patients and their families.Helplessness and depending on others causes emotional toll on a person.They feel depressed by thinking they may not be normal again and their health will always detonate when they are least expecting.Anger ,loss , frustration,guilt can be displayed from family and patient.And their relationship will be broken because of tension and frustration.

The nurse should help the patient and their family by explaining the conditions which they will face in future and encourage them to be open and calm while dealing with each other.And she should encourage the people to join the patients groups who are going through same things as them.The nurse should be compassionate and listen to their problems and show solutions and coping mechanisms.

Example.

A person after he has a stroke and is bed ridden for 6 months this will cause serious problems to his psychological state.Th nurses will provide emotional support and explain several conditions which people suffer from this and encourage them to undergo rehabilitation and will present options for coping.And the families are also treated by explaining the conditions of the patient and the actkons they should take to maintain both their emotional stability of them and the patient.
